How many ads really talk to you? This one spoke to me.

The best ads always tell the truth in a compelling way. This one from Nike ran the day after the NY Marathon. That’s today. The ad was written either by someone who is a runner or someone who understands runners.

A running ad also spoke to me. Reebok did a print ad a few years ago in Runner's World magazine. It pictured a lone runner in cold, sleeting weather on a long stretch of road. The headline read, "It's days like this that seperate the runners from the joggers."

As a very slow, but avid runner, it was really the first time that I felt permission to actually call myself a "runner."

Sorry about the proofing... meant "separated." Damn!
